The CTIE curriculum covers 10 topics of study: Business Planning; Financial Planning; Marketing Strategies; Negotiating; Managing Change; Managing Conflict; Risk Management; Goal Setting and Motivation; Time Management; and How to Prevent Credit Card Fraud.

To earn the CTIE, travel professionals must:

• Complete the CTA or CTC program.
• Complete the 2000-3000 word White Paper.
• Pass the CTIE test.
• Possess 5 years of full-time industry work experience.
• Commit to annual certification maintenance to retain their certification.

CTIE candidates wishing to withdraw are entitled to a full refund less a $50 administrative fee provided they send their original study materials in saleable condition along with a written request for withdrawal within 30 days of their enrollment. After 30 days, no refunds will be given. One transfer per program is permitted for a charge of $75. A transfer can only be made if the person requesting the transfer has written permission from original purchaser to have transfer processed. Enrollments may not be transferred if Tuition Assistance is provided.
