The Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) program teaches owners and managers how to analyze new business opportunities, develop marketing strategies, and negotiate. Increase your knowledge, grow your business, and earn widely-recognized industry credentials.
The CTC certification has represented the pinnacle of travel industry professionalism for more than forty years and is designed for seasoned travel professionals who are interested in advancing their career. The CTC curriculum covers 10 topics of study.
To earn the CTC, travel professionals must:
- Complete the CTA program.
- Complete the 2000-3000 word White Paper.
- Pass the CTC test.
- Possess 5 years of full-time industry experience.
- Commit to annual certification maintenance to retain their certification.
The CTC program can be completed in 6 to 9 months, however, candidates have 18 months to complete the program and take the test. The program may be completed through self-study with testing available online or paper and pencil. Candidates may also opt to attend a Professional Institute (formerly Executive Institute) to complete the course.
