Donna Flora, CTIE
Vice President, Travel Industry Relations, American Express


Donna Flora, CTIE, was appointed Vice President, Travel Industry Relations for American Express in July 2002. In this position, Ms. Flora acts as the primary liaison to the U.S. travel agency community and industry associations.

With more than 25 years of travel industry experience, Flora was most recently Director, Travel Industry Relations, for American Express, overseeing the Travel Agency Partnership Program, a corporate card lead generation program. She has been responsible for promoting the American Express brand and card acceptance within the travel trade. A former travel agent, she received her CTC from The Institute of Certified Travel Agents in 1985. Flora has managed retail travel offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and was previously responsible for the company's Executive Travel Management Unit, which handled travel for key corporate executives.

Flora is very active in community service, she chairs the Academy of Travel & Tourism in New York City, she is an active member of the Virtual Enterprise, International Advisory Board, and served as chair for the 1999-2000 school year. As a board member she helped shape Virtual Enterprise, International policies and served as an advocate for the program to the educational, and business communities. Flora is a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Latino Scholarship Fund. She is a board member for SATH, Society for Accessible Travel & Hospitality, promoting awareness, respect and accessibility for disabled and mature travelers. Flora is also a member of the SKAL Club of New York and is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America.
