We ask that requests for online versions of the CTC be submitted AT LEAST three (3) business days in advance of your test date. Requests for traditional paper tests should be submitted AT LEAST three (3) weeks in advance to allow for time for your proctor to receive the test via mail.
All Travel Institute tests are proctored tests. When choosing your proctor, our basic requirements for the proctor are that they:
Proctors must be with you during your testing and will provide the link to the test as well as the password to unlock the test (if online). If you choose the paper test, they will bring that test with them on the arranged testing date.
The CTC test has a 3-hour time limit, and should be taken in one sitting. Plan a time when you won’t be disturbed for that block of time. The CTC test consists of ten (10), short, problem-solving essay questions. Upon completion of your test, you test will be graded and you will be advised of your grade within two weeks.
We have created this General Information Sheet that you may find helpful and will answer some basic questions about the online testing experience with The Travel Institute.
A Note about Testing and Social Distancing:
[su_note note_color=”#f2f7fa”]We are relaxing our testing protocol to allow for virtual proctoring. To take a test with your proctor, both you and your proctor need to have access to an online screen sharing platform such as Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts, or similar. At the designated date and time, you will both log into that screen sharing platform, and you will share your screen with your proctor. You and the proctor will read the instructions on how to access the test online. As you continue to share your screen, you will access and take the test accordingly.[/su_note]
Good Luck as you take this next step in your professional development.
