5 Steps to Develop your Travel Niche by Suzanne Slavitter CTP, CTIE
It’s as simple as these 5 Steps to Develop Your Niche
Follow your Passion – are you really passionate about this destination or niche. If you’re going to spend hours and hours researching, developing, marketing and operating this product…you’d better LOVE it.
Detail your Operations – do I have the right suppliers in place? Are we ready to handle the operations for group travel including accounting, reporting and travel documents?
Organize your Marketing Tool Belt – Networking, in my humble opinion, is the key to small business guerilla marketing success. But employing the newest forms of marketing including email and social media are cost effective and an important part of any modern marketing mix.
Monitor your Finances – briefly outline your expenses and anticipated income based on a couple scenarios of reservations. Make sure you can afford to not meet your expectations with the first trip.
Patience and Persistence – do set realistic goals for yourself so you don’t get discouraged and make sure you’re putting in the right amount of time to get the job done. It takes patience and persistence to achieve your goals and will be worth your efforts in the long run!
