The Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation is more than just letters after your name. This is a tool I used not only to increase my destination knowledge, but the professional skills increased my ability to close sales.
Here are 5 reasons to start TODAY on earning your CTA designation:
1. Enjoy Sales Training Specifically for Travel Agents
Although we are in the business of sales, I for one have not had any sales training formally – this certification changed that. I was able to improve my processes and close more sales using the information from multiple modules.
2. Have Better Calls with Clients
Are you familiar with the barriers that keep us from effectively listening? Knowing this has been a game changer, and I have found that I get so much more accomplished on a phone call with a client by incorporating the skills from the communications module.
3. Prevent Problems
Do you know the red flags to look out for when it comes to avoiding fraud? Credit card fraud is covered in its own module with best practices on how to keep sensitive information about you and your clients secure.
4. Fill in the Gaps
I feel so much more well-rounded as an agent with the content that is provided in this course. For example, after learning about the major factors that affect weather and climate, I can confidently inform my clients about when and where to book.
5. Save Money
Throughout July, travel agents can apply for a scholarship that will save them 50% off the price of the course. I signed up with this offer and have personally encouraged many of my agent friends to take advantage because it’s a significant savings!
Knowledge is power, power is in professionalism.
