5 Questions to Answer Before Launching Yourself on Social Media

Did you know that businesses that take the time to set goals and lay out a plan to achieve them are 10 times more likely to succeed? Don’t leave your social media marketing efforts to chance.

Here are 5 questions you need to answer before you start posting:

WHY – Take a moment to reflect on your purpose with social media. What are you hoping to achieve with it? Why is it a good tool for your marketing strategy? And why are you using the channels you are currently using?

WHO – Knowing whom you want to talk to is the cornerstone of being in the right place and sharing the right stuff. Get clear on whom you want to attract and you’ll have a much better idea of where to find them, how to talk to them and more.

WHERE – Not every social network is created equal. Figure out which ones your ideal customer favors and which you prefer using for a match made in heaven.

WHAT – Now that you have a clearer picture of your purpose, it’s time to identify what you need to do by setting goals that will move you closer to your intention. By making sure your goals are actionable, measurable and have a timeline, you’ll be setting your path more clearly.

HOW – This is where the rubber hits the road. Who will help you? What type of content do you want to share? And what tools can you use to help you? This part of your plan should be detailed enough that a new person can pick it up, read it and be able to start posting without problem.
