Everyone seems to be talking about “being nice” lately. Like it’s a new idea. Really? It’s not rocket science! You can add these 5 tips to your own customer service list. And if you don’t have a list, it’s a good start.
1. Please, thank you and you’re welcome are forever words that move a process along.
2. “No problem.” Is NOT “You’re welcome”!
3. Always carry business cards. Always! And give two! You will never know when or who will need a travel advisor! Don’t be caught without business cards. Use them liberally!
4. Learn how to make NUM calls or NUM emails. That stands for NO ULTERIOR MOTIVE. That’s when you get to say, “I’ve been thinking about you.” No sell. The ‘thought of being thought of’ goes a long way!
5. And, as they say: A picture is worth a 1000 words!
